Introduction
The department of chemistry is one of the core department of Jagat Arts, Commerce and Indiraben Hariharbhai Patel Science College, Goregaon ran under the education society Bahujan Hitay Jagat Shikshan Sanstha, Gondia. The society start this institute in such rural area with graduate programmed affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Nagpur in the year 1992. Our department provides qualitative education in undergraduate level. We all teaching faculty provides best teaching and practical knowledge among other peripheral institution. We help each and every one through spacious laboratories, availability of chemical and apparatus. At present our department have three permanent faculties, one CHB and a laboratory attendant.
Dr. Gajadhar K. Bhagat (1996) HOD & Associate Professor, Dr. Sanjiokumar S. Rahangdale (1998) Professor, Mr. Kailas P. Jadhao (2023), Assistant Professor and Ms. Pranali A. Patil (2025) CHB Assistant Professor and Mr. Khurmaraj C. Katre (1992), Laboratory Attendant were appointed on concerned year given in a bracket.
The Department has decided to introduce several exciting branches of chemistry resembling environmental chemistry, polymer chemistry and medicinal chemistry in addition to PG course in Chemistry.
